Book references extreme trials but does little to describe them in much detail. Comes across rather monotone and unexciting. Little suspense and information that doesn't really link to anything or seem to have a purpose. Main characters constant thoughts of his daughter. A deed given to him that you don't hear anymore about. Could use more depth and detail. And something exciting. Even the plane crash is told like it's an afterthought.Product details

Not only is this a story of survival in the wilderness of Canada, it also deals with memories of days long ago.
Survivors of a plane crash try to determine the best way to get off a glacier. The rescue helicopters have not shown up and they are getting to the end of their wits. Most of the survivors are injured and unable to move much.
I like this story because it delves into the memories of yesterday. I am sure if one was faced with dying, those memories would surface. The characters are outstanding and do include a couple of "junkies"!
Will anyone be able to go for help? Wait until you meet Faulkner, the dog!
